The Welwyn 10K 2024 at Panshanger Park, Hertfordshire, was once again a great success. At HRJ Foreman Laws Solicitors, we are proud to be longstanding sponsors of the race, which is organized by Garden City Runners. This year, we joined Tarmac and Croudace Homes to support the event, which raises funds for charities in our community.
The cooler temperatures this year provided ideal running conditions for the 450 participants.
Annie Brewster, the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, started the race and sent the participants on their way through the challenging Panshanger Park course. She also started the separate 2K race for children, which saw 50 young runners embrace the challenge.
Trophies were presented by our very own Janice O’Donnell to those who achieved the fastest times in a wide range of categories.
All 10k finishers were awarded a wooden dragonfly medal, marking the race’s commitment to sustainability and the local environment.
A huge congratulations to everyone who took part. It is a challenging course, and it’s a great accomplishment to complete this race.
