Our domestic violence legal services – how we help you
We provide specialist advice and representation to protect you and your family from abuse, harassment, or intimidation. Depending on your situation, we may advise on:
Non-molestation orders – protection from abuse
A non-molestation order is a court order preventing your partner, ex-partner, or family member from using or threatening violence, harassing, or intimidating you. It protects the health, safety, and wellbeing of you and your children.
A breach of a non-molestation order is a criminal offence and can lead to arrest, fines, or imprisonment.

Occupation orders – who can live in the family home
An occupation order decides who can live in, or be excluded from, the family home. It can also prevent an abuser from entering the surrounding area.
These orders usually last for 6 months (sometimes longer) and give you breathing space to make safe, longer-term arrangements for your housing and family.

Child protection and safeguarding
Where children are involved, we help you secure orders that prioritise their safety. This can include restrictions on contact if there is a risk of harm, or formal arrangements for safe contact under supervision.

Advice on police involvement and criminal proceedings
We explain how family court orders interact with police powers and criminal proceedings. Even if criminal charges are not pursued, protective family court orders can still be secured.
Support with longer-term arrangements
In addition to urgent protection, we advise on all family law legal matters such as divorce, separation, child arrangements, and financial settlements, giving you joined-up advice across all areas of your situation.
