24 Oct HRJ Foreman Laws employees volunteer for the Warm in Winter initiative
Sixteen HRJ Foreman Laws employees volunteered for Small Acts of Kindness to assemble gift bags for its Warm in Winter initiative.
Every year, Small Acts of Kindness assembles and distributes 12,000 gift bags filled with essential items to help older adults stay warm and safe during the colder months. These gift bags, which include blankets, hats, gloves, socks, and other practical items, provide much-needed relief to those struggling to heat their homes. For many, these gifts are a lifeline, preventing serious health risks associated with cold exposure, such as raised blood pressure, strokes, heart attacks, and falls.
Beyond the physical warmth, the Warm in Winter initiative also addresses the emotional well-being of older individuals. Each gift bag includes a personalised message from the volunteer who packed it, fostering a sense of connection and reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.
We invited our employees to support this important initiative and by volunteering their time, they have made a meaningful difference to support older and vulnerable adults in our community.
