HRJ Foreman Laws Solicitors hosted its first quiz night on 12 September at the Letchworth Garden City Cricket Club. Over 70 guests from 11 businesses in Hertfordshire came along to test their knowledge and help fundraise for The Garden House Hospice in North Hertfordshire. Congratulations to Barclays Bank (Hitchin), the trophy winners on the night.

Also, congratulations to Kirkby Diamond and Base 52 who claimed second and third place.

As well as bringing local businesses together, an important focus for the evening was to fundraise for The Garden House Hospice. It provides free specialist hospice care for North Herts, Letchworth, Stevenage, Royston and surrounding areas. Darren Isted from the hospice attended the evening, and told the audience that, “the hospice is heading towards its 30^th
anniversary and will host its annual Lights of Life events in Stevenage on November 24^th and Letchworth on December 1^st. These are very important and heartfelt events where we are able to reflect on all those who have been at the hospice, giving friends and family a chance to look back at a poignant time of year. The donations from the night would help with the costs of putting on the event. In addition the hospice needs more than £7,000 per day to function.”

Thank you to all the businesses that attended, took part and donated. We hope to organise another quiz night again next year.
