31 Mar Bringing Easter smiles to the Lister Hospital – Our 2026 visit
The spirit of Easter was in the air once again as the HRJ Foreman Laws team returned to the children’s ward at Lister Hospital. We revisited the Easter grotto, laden with treats and toys, to bring a bit of festive cheer to the young patients spending their holiday in the hospital.
As always, the hospital team gave us the warmest of welcomes, they are the perfect team to lead the “Magic of Play” initiative. It supports young patients at Lister Hospital’s Bluebell Ward, aiming to make hospital stays easier.
We made sure to include plenty of non-chocolate options from sensory toys to activity books ensuring that every child could enjoy a gift, regardless of dietary requirements or upcoming procedures.
A huge thank you must go to Laura from our conveyancing team, who once again took the lead in curating a fantastic variety of gifts. Her eye for detail ensures that the gifts aren’t just “handouts,” but genuine distractions that bring a bit of fun to the ward environment.
About the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity
The East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity support and fund a wide variety of projects for newborn babies up to the elderly with each and every one making a difference. From funding toys for poorly children to a state-of-the-art MRI scanner, it raises money to fund projects large and small.
The “Magic of Play” initiative by the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity supports young patients at Lister Hospital in Stevenage by enhancing their hospital experience. The initiative funds specialised play equipment, social events for families, and projects to transform the children’s Bluebell Ward outdoor area into a therapeutic, accessible, and engaging space.
